It’s funny, how language can mean so many different things to people in time. Bodies conglomerate together through mutual backgrounds, personalities, interests and sports of sorts, and, together, they create their own form of language. When a new generous body enters the circle, they must learn to adapt in a new environment, for language games are at work here, and one must immerse oneself deep in the language in order to understand the substance of what is being said.

Amarendine Fountain

18/3/2020

The alchemists stumble upon the Amarendine Fountain – the fountain of eternal youth – from which the locket was forged, in the rural divides of southwest France. There, they encounter Camilla Martel, a servant who has been treating Louis Loral II. Camilla teaches them that the fountain can freeze time, i.e., keep the drinker physically young, but it cannot prevent an untimely death.

Val De Loire Ferry

Picture
The M/V Val De Loire is Brittany Ferries' flagship ferry since 1993, and the ferry Hayda Loral used to travel between Plymouth and Roscoff several times between 1998-1999.

Built in 1987, she has 6,856 cabins with 2+4 berths, pool, photo booth, conference rooms and seven decks. Inside, the theme used is "Maritime Tradition", with many assorted artefacts and ship models on display in her public saloons. The facilities on board the Val De Loire are very similar in style to those found on board the Normandie and the Barfleur. The Val De Loire is the first Brittany Ferries vessel to include a swimming pool, though it is rarely open unless Hayda Loral is onboard.

Hayda Loral jumped off this ferry in 1998. She landed in a smaller fishing boat. When she jumped off the ferry, her skirt got caught and she lost it, but fortunately she was wearing trousers underneath. The ferry is notable for its myriad of duty free boutique hair, lipstick, makeup and cosmetics stores, which featured billboards of Hayda Loral modelling for Lancôme.
Hayda stepped aboard Brittany Ferries and sailed off to England. But on the ferry, several English men bullied her.
“Doesn’t deserve anything at all except hair, lipstick and a candle!” one said.
“I bet her bag’s filled with lipstick!” another said.
Hayda decided she had had enough. A small boat was sailing very near the ferry. She jumped down into it. But the bullies had caught her long black skirt.
With a rip, she fell down into the boat. Her skirt was torn.

Arielle's Chalice

4/3/2020

Allegedly, when the cup is filled with certain types of water (usually those that trace back to its mountain origins), the water is so clear that you can look through it into the past. When you look into the water, it reflects memories that occurred in places where it was used.

Many alchemists have tried to obtain the cup, mesmerised by its powers of healing, seduction and eternal cleanliness.

The current owner of the cup is Isabelle Oreille, who, conscious of its immortal value, has hidden it away somewhere in the College Des Sirenes. The cup is thought to be located in an underground chamber beneath the Flooded Columns.

The entrance to this chamber is yet unknown, although it is thought to be accessible via the water pipe network that branches out from the basement.
An ornate copper chalice, embellished with aquatic mermaid designs, which has been passed down through the generations and is now regarded as a family relic of the Oreille family.

Although the exact origins of the cup are hazy, the cup is thought to have originated somewhere in the Durance River Province in the French Alps. It was first presented to Celeste Martineau sometime in the late 1880s as a gift from the President.. However, the most famous owner of the relic is the granddaughter of Celeste, Celeste II (wife of Claude Oreille), who first tapped into its magical powers.

I'm Mrs Bothe, Blah Blah Blah

4/3/2020

Derogatory poem written by Flora Carne in 1989, that verbally abuses a previous English teacher, Mrs Bothe, who taught at Brighton Young School from 1972-1998, which Dolimo Bunker attended during the years 1987-1994.
I’m Mrs Bothe
Blah Blah Blah
I’m so Big
Blah Blah Blah
I’m so Good
Blah Blah Blah
I’m so clever
Blah Blah Blah
I’m so
Aaaaaaaaaarrrrgh!!
(What a pompous old windbag)
It is reported in Dolimo Bunker’s Autobiographical Masterpiece that Flora Carne was put on detention for two weeks and received school misconduct. It also mentions that the ‘awful poem was burnt at the stake’ – whether this means in the ritual sense or simply a figure of speech, possibly deriving from Trad-Latin or medievalist attitudes, is yet unknown.

Amarendine Locket

31/1/2014

The Amarendine Locket is said to have been forged around 600 AD, in the Dunes of Amarenda, North Africa, by an archangel named Harry.

Helias was a kingdom across the sea from Amarenda, and is thought to be the foundation of what we now know as the modern Lorallian. In those days, Helias was ruled by the Divine Coregency - Zeno, Aris, Danica and Demetria. The rulership of this union was consistently threatened by the presence of a dark force known as the "Grand Inquisitor", Celius.

During the reign of the Divine Coregency, Aris, being the most unfaltering of citizens, was given Danica's hand in marriage, by Zeno, to prevent conflict between the other royal citizens. There was a great deal of unrest caused in the aftermath of Celius (The Grand Inquisitor) that many feared that the state would erupt into civil war. Zeno believed that they could resolve the conflict by marrying Danica into their family.

Aris and Danica had an arranged marriage. But Danica, disliking the idea of being married to Aris and tempted by the idea of becoming the future queen, began an affair with Celius. Aris discovered their affair and caught them in the act.

Fishman Sculpture

24/3/2012

The Fishman Sculpture is an ornate sculpture of a chubby man trapped in a spherical fish body. The sculpture originates from Paletine, North Africa, and was bought by Carlo Al Afqa, who strategically placed it in front of his bed. The sculpture is supposed to ward off evil spirits.
