The person can either answer a question to claim some money, stick - so they just stick with the amount they’ve got, or they can take a claim or risk off another contender of however much they desire. If they get the question wrong, they lose all their money. If they get it wrong in a claim, they lose that particular amount of money, even if their total goes below zero.
The person with the least money at the end of the round is out of the game and have to walk the walk of shame. Each round lasts up to five minutes. The questions themselves are all maths questions and involve all different subjects in Maths and Isexes. At the end of the game, the person wins the most money leaves with their winnings. At the end of the show, the contenders have to work out who got the least amount of money and say how much. However, they have to balance how much each person won in each round by making the total. This is done by taking the amount of money gained, and the amount lost and weighing them up. This process is done in thirty seconds. The players have to do this by process of illumination. If they get it right they recieve a £100 deposit. Only skilled mathematicians play the Value Workout. The program is on Saturday evenings at varied times, depending on the length of each show:
Each person takes up to five minutes so the time for each round can only be roughly predicted meaning the programme could finish at an earlier time than estimated. |
