It’s funny, how language can mean so many different things to people in time. Bodies conglomerate together through mutual backgrounds, personalities, interests and sports of sorts, and, together, they create their own form of language. When a new generous body enters the circle, they must learn to adapt in a new environment, for language games are at work here, and one must immerse oneself deep in the language in order to understand the substance of what is being said.

Four Alchemists

18/3/2020

Collective term for the four citizens entrusted with the task of containing the evil spirit that manifested itself inside Hayda Loral at birth. Hence each of the four has a sign, indicating a planet, an element, a metal and so on.

The four alchemists reside at their respective elemental sites dotted around Europe.

In June, 1974, shortly after the birth of Hayda Loral, her mother, Dianne Loral, sensed an evil spirit within her. On account of this, the four alchemists gathered together at the Monasterio Del Ignacio and performed a sacred magical baptism, which ensured that the spirit was contained within her. This also sealed them to an invisible contract – to protect her destiny, and ensure that Hayda could die a respectful death, to safely kill the spirit inside of her.

Hence, each alchemist was assigned to guard the spirit during each stage of her life, and they were thus designated rites of passage.

José Velásquez would keep watch over her birth and childhood, living at the.Monasterio Del Ignacio. Isabelle Oreille, as her teacher, would nurture the purity of her soul during adolescence and coming of age, during her growing up at College Des Sirènes. Randolph Spitzburg, as her general, would guard the spirit during marriage – it was him that would provide her with a husband. Chloe Sethsson, as her doctor and deliverer of the baby, would meet her at the other end, and guide the spirit towards death.

However, things inevitably changed during her life. The alchemists became subdued and distracted from this task. José and Chloe had a passionate love affair, which resulted in the birth of an illegitimate daughter, Corina Velásquez. Her strange disappearance is the biggest cover-up in the history of alchemy.

Through this disappearance, the alchemists attempted to discover the Quintessence and attain eternal life. However, this attempt failed. It was only Chloe who decided that Hayda should die so that they could complete the circle and attain eternal life that way.

Hayda fulfilled only three of her four prophetic rites of passage, and through her Breaking From Unity, she managed to change the course of her destiny by choosing not to follow the path set out by her father. The alchemists lost interest in the task – apart from Chloe, who lived in the hope that Hayda would ultimately embrace her death.

The alchemists fought, and eventually Chloe betrayed them, by revealing their whereabouts to Celius Horn and the Nordic Inquisition. Meanwhile Hayda, protected from the curse by the Amarendine Locket, lived a peaceful life, until the dawn of the next eclipse. The locket forged a magical connection between her and Corina. Upon convincing the three remaining alchemists to resurrect Corina from the other realm, Hayda managed to stumble upon Chloe, who had not changed her desire to kill her.

Her life in danger, Hayda raced back to Saint John's Cathedral, to where the three remaining alchemists were to reunite after nineteen years apart. The alchemists managed to bring a world back for Corina, and as such, the curse within Hayda was broken.

The connection between Hayda and Corina forged by the Amarendine Locket, was one of compassion. It was only through an act of love that Hayda could break the curse of death. Through bringing the remaining alchemists back together in order to save Corina, Hayda was carrying out an act of love.

The sacred Amarendine Locket is a magical artefact, passed down from her father, Louis Loral II. Hence, Hayda Loral is commonly thought of as the fifth alchemist.
