Hayda LoralWhat became of the lady in black? Who scrawled her name in ruby red lipstick all over the mirror in the moonlight? The lady who was to become a woman within, her sleek black body suit and modest crop disguising a deep, hidden beauty. Her eyes are alluring in the shadows, but she has been banished from grace. By dark, she will charm all who became her. Touch me then. x x x |
It always fairs better to look on the positive side of life! ❤️ x x xThis so much is true. x x x People are often too proud, too sure of themselves, to realise what is truly going on in the world. My old boarding school is a breeding ground for the artistic par excellence of Europe, who cling to their pompous pieties and speak ill of other musicians. For musicians, like writers, painters or sculptors, are artists in themselves, and it is often very hard for them to see the bright side of life. x. Art is their way of channeling their negative energies as well as their positive energies, and all artists should be supportive of each other, and appreciative of each others' artworks, don't you think? x x For artists have to go through many ups and downs, and to create art, they are often turning destructive tendencies into constructive and creative ones. x x Well, to them, I say this: keep on going! Keep on moving forwards. For what would the world be without art? x. x Without passion, desire and beautiful objects? x The hips curve, the arching spine, in these lie absolution - so say the old abbey manuscripts, and this mantra is a spark of light that I delight in passing to all artists. Be wary of negative people. these energies are reserved for the jealous and vain. x Sometimes, it is better to lose everything first and then to start afresh (like my hair) because in this sense, you have everything to gain. x x x x good luck, x my pilgrim. x x

This is what one of Daniel's eleven year old 'peers' thoughtfully pointed out when I was collecting Daniel from school the other day. I was mortified! xx Of course, I do generally keep the company of other Women so that is 'normal' in the playground, I guess. x x x
I had a few too many glasses of rouge on New Year's Eve! x. Just about recovering even now. x x x Hope you are having a nice 2012 so far, full with fruits of opportunity. ❤️ xxxxxx I must invite you in two weeks time to St Mary's Church, New Houston, where I will be singing for the times! Along with the Sisorca Arts Jazz Ensemble. It will be a ball and a half! ❤️x x x Oluwa would like to hear me sing... And him watch me sing as well... x I'll bear that in mind. x x ...or should I say: I'll BARE that in mind. ❤️lol. x la har he. x I'm not a singer by trade. x Although sometimes I do offer myself at my local church. 😉x Alright WOMAN? That comment reassured me that I am a woman with short hair and not just a boy. x I love Celine Dion, she is a true inspiration. I am also a great fan of Dido, Sarah McLachlan, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Sharleen Spiteri, Alizée, Jenifer, Natasha St Pierre.....xxxxx true Women of our time. xxx I also like Gaulish folk songs, such as The Riders Dance. x And Madame Oreille taught me to like classical music, in particular the early twentieth century French composers.... Debussy, Poulenc, Ravel, Satie... are you familiar with any of those? Ooh, and I can't resist a bit of Brahms ☺️x x x I didn't mention Rihanna! x. and how about the classical composers? How do they make me feel? How does this make me feel - The Colours of Autumn - Gymnopedie No.1? Ooh, I love Abba as well. x x My favourite songs are 'Thank for the music' and 'Waterloo'. They bring back many fond memories of drunken nights at Eurocafe. simply wonderful! xxxx Fela Kuti. Ooh yar! And his son, Seun Kuti! I would love to be one of his backing vocalists LOL. Wouldn't you? As for reggae, I'm not so sure. x Ah. Music. A magic beyond all that we do here. x x x While i was a teenager, I always had this dream that I would one day go to Paris, where I would become a 'world music star'. I even wrote a song about it! I was terribly naive. xx Although it turns out that I was at least right about one thing - going to Paris - but not in a way that I ever expected. Since cosmetics have taken over my life, the musical part of me has fallen a bit by the way side... Well, the professional element, anyway. I still consider myself an amateur, with my rudimentary clarinet/saxophone playing and my unhoned singing ability. x How about you? xxxx This much is true. x Once you have learned the words to the song, you must learn the steps to the dance. For what is a song without a dance, if not to be purely art for art's sake? x. I took my husband to the salsa dance classes once, but he didn't take to it very naturally because he is very stiff and rigid in his German way; he somewhat lacks the Joie D'œuvre that relishes in the hips and thighs of the french and our Romance cousins. I only hope that I can sing the notes in tune, for what use is it to appreciate great music if one cannot sing in tune, or to understand fine art if you cannot write or draw? I believe that, like all other art forms, one must dabble in it, for it surely is a dialogue. The more you put in, the more you get out. This is surely a wholesome discipline! ❤️xxxx
