Erik came down from the far reaches of north Europe with many other people to do work in another country. He has found it hard to adjust to the strange conditions, more so than his friend Leanna who he did not know very well before but she has become a very good friend. He sees her as being higher than him because she is older, richer and has more friends and he is constantly striving to be as good as her. Erik has a quiet and shy personality but he is willing to work hard and to make new friends. He has a confusing relationship with Sam, often feeling kicked in and broken because of his hard actions but also very grateful for his generosity. He was not really the cool kid at school and has not had a very exciting love life but he has found that he has feelings for a woman from the Netherlands which are strange and unsettling. Only time will blow away the clouds of doubt on the character.

Erik comes from the far reaches of northern Europe – a waterside fishing district on the outskirts of Slottetsval,, Sweden. The only son of fisherman, Ander, and mentally disabled Kate, Erik was never very well off as a child and life was tough.

​At school, Erik had no special talents and he had to work for everything. His dreams of working in the medical profession started when he rescued a fish that had been trapped in a barbed wire fence.

​Erik attended Slottetsval College at 16, where he first met Leanna. They were not friends at that stage, as they came from very different social backgrounds. Erik learned to drive at this age, and used to speed around in his rusty blue Saab with his geeky friends on the way to rock concerts, with The Hives blasting out of the stereo at full volume.

In 1998, Erik went to the medical school at the University of Uppsala and participated in the international work placement exchange between Slottetsval and Sisorca, where he worked with Leanna in 2001. After a brief romance with Dutch girl Nana Van Der Tramp, Erik and Leanna fell in love, and married in May 2005.

Erik initially worked as head nurse at Sisorca Hospital, but then transferred to doctor training in 2003. He was replaced by Sophie Morris. Erik now lives in Ravenswood Gardens, London Park, with his wife, Leanna, and his four children, Alekssandra, Hans, Kristofer and Sven.
