Places

It was an engraved map of Europe with a diagram of the solar system superimposed over the top of it. In the northwest corner there was the sun, situated over my home in Queen's Stanley. Surrounding this, there were four rings and four planets marking four elemental paths - each one’s topography mapped out with extraordinary detail and precision...I realised that I needed to embark on one of the four paths, and that once I had chosen, I would not be able to turn back. Destiny beckoned forth, and, somehow, I knew that if I were not ready, or not adequately prepared in my heart, then I might as well turn back and return home.

Swan Arena

12/3/2020

During 2001, construction work commenced for the Seveness stadium that was to open in September that year. The new stadium was known as the Swan Arena, and Seveness released a single “Swan 2001” in celebration of its opening.

On September 7th, the stadium opened its doors for the first time to let in thousands  of fans. The stage included a state of the art multi-million pound cinema screen, and the floor had expensive lighting effects and rising platforms. Jet seats were designed to hold drinks bottles and could rise, fall and collapse according to the wishes of fans. The gig was a sell-out and signified the second stage in the band’s career.
